Jess Travis, RYT200

Hi, I'm Jess Travis, (she/they). I'm the Founder and CEO of Rise Coaching and Consulting. I have over 20 years of experience as a scientist working at the intersection of people and the environment, developing community-driven programs and administering federal, state, and local grants. I also have more than a decade of experience in non-profit development and leadership. An experienced project manager, event coordinator, facilitator, and neurodivergent affirming coach, I'm a practicing member of the Institute for Equity Centered Coaching and the International Coaching Federation. I am also a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered and Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher with lived experience in rural communities, income insecurity, LGBTQ+ advocacy, ND/ASD/ADHD and mental health recovery.

My coaching practice centers around the core belief that every person is the expert of their own experience - and that our experiences and values are what makes us both human, and deserving of respect. I encourage open and honest dialogue with my clients, and invite you to bring your whole, authentic self to the coaching process.

I also acknowledge that systems of oppression are woven into the very foundation of our culture, and that the coaching partnership is in itself, an opportunity for learning in mutuality. This requires that I recognize and unlearn deeply entrenched patterns, starting within myself. Scholarships, payment plans, or a sliding fee scale are available on a limited basis for coaching clients experiencing financial insecurity.
